How to Secure your API key with the Rate-API (2026)

Goal

By the end of this guide you will be able to secure your API key using nothing but an API key and a single HTTP request.

Step 1 — Get a key

Create a free account, open the dashboard and copy your API key. The Free plan includes 2,500 requests per month, which is plenty for testing.

Step 2 — Make the request
